rOrtho does three things: make an orthomosaic or DSM from Mesh OBJ files, geotag images for photogrammetry, and combine OBJ mesh tiles into one for opening more easily in other software.

rOrtho Features

The iGage RS7 Mesh Kit includes rOrtho and provides a permanent license solution for capturing georeferenced meshes with the CHC RS7 SLAM scanner. Enjoy updates for life and permanent licensing for RS7 Mesh, CoPre Mesh Modeling, and rOrtho orthomosaic generation.

Make an orthomosaic

Renders a true orthophoto (every point seen from straight above, so walls and roof edges do not lean) and a height map (DSM) from the CoPre2 mesh, at the pixel size you choose, as GeoTIFFs in US survey feet or meters.

Prep for Photogrammetry (Geotag)

Geotags and orients the RS7 photos, ready for 3Dsurvey. Also Metashape, Pix4D and others.

Merge Mesh Tiles

CoPre2 writes the mesh in several pieces it calls tiles, each an OBJ directory (the mesh format 3Dsurvey opens) with a material file (.mtl) and texture images. This job puts every tile into one .obj with one .mtl and the textures beside it, so 3Dsurvey or other software opens the whole model in one step.
