| Noah B. Penn P.S.Noah earned a B.S. in Geological Science from Michigan State
University (2001). While attending school he worked as a
construction and materials density inspector; and then MDOT as
mapping and leveling survey Crew chief. Discovering his affinity for
surveying, he continued his education completing a B.S. in Surveying
/ Engineering at Ferris State University. Noah is a member of the
Michigan Society of Professional Surveyors. He has been a member of
the Lake County, Mason County, and Oceana County Remonumentation
Peer Review Groups and has been a Contract Remonumentation Surveyor
for Mason, Oceana, Lake and Manistee Counties. Noah has completed
projects for the State of Michigan, providing in-house GPS network
adjustments of static observation data to establish Michigan State
Plane Coordinate Information (MCS 83) to satisfy State of Michigan
grant work. In 2012, Noah started Points West Land Surveying, LLC
and in 2014 he purchased a CHC X91+ RTK pair from iGage. For over a
decade these receivers served Noah well, recovering countless
Michigan Petition Survey (1870-1900) original monuments in his
private practice. Noah upgraded to the latest i83 GNSS base rover
pair in early 2024 and discovered the previously unimaginable
under-canopy GNSS performance and unbeatable iGage equipment value.
But he resisted the switch to new field software and
continued to use his legacy field software on legacy Windows Mobile
platforms. He did take the time to
list and detail missing or unfound LandStar field software features,
we listened, and his feedback drove our development. After 6 months,
Noah finally made the jump to LandStar8 and immediately became our
top evangelist. Noah has a true love of surveying. Combined with
unbounded energy, a knack for teaching and supporting his peers he
is an unmatched resource, many of the recent LandStar features have
been driven by Noah and we are grateful for his time, contributions
and experience. It is obvious that Noah’s life arc has brought him
to iGage as an evangelist for value, support and service and I am
thrilled to welcome him to Team iGage.   Mark Silver, January 2025 |
