All Topo Maps V6

The State of Wyoming Oil & Gas Conservation Commission provides real time oil and gas information in All Topo Maps coordinate format. Here is how to utilize this mapping application:
Point your web browser to http://wogcc.state.wy.us

follow the 'Upload Locations' link or the 'Coal Bed' links:

Select the 'Well By Township and Range' option (or one of the others):

A page with a series of output options will be displayed (not shown here). Select an option in each section (1 through 5).
Enter a valid township and range (like T=55, R=73), then press the 'Go Find' button.

The WOGCC server will compile the results of your request and return a data file to your computer. You will be prompted to 'Open this file from current location' or 'Save to disk'. Select 'Save to disk':

The 'Save As' menu will now appear. It is easiest to save to the 'User" folder in the 'AllTopo' path. The default extension (controlled by the WOGCC) is .cfm, we like to change the extension to .hwp and enter a filename that is representative of the coverage. Click save.

Start All Topo Maps, select Wyoming (if you have more than one All Topo state set.) Click the 'Annotations' button, then choose 'Open Annotation File' and select the just created file.
The selected wells, color coded and sized for production are shown on the map surface. You can right click on the well, select the 'Open' link to query real time data from the WOGCC web site. Production, filling information and pictures are all available on a well by well basis.

Toggle displaying:

Well Name    Alt+N
Well Production    Alt+D
Well Location    Alt+T

Zoom in to view obscured wells, or request a new file without size coding.
