Start NET Deed-Plotter by double clicking on it's desktop icon:

Deed-Plotter will start, select the 'File: Open...' option to specify
the file that holds the description we want to evaluate:

Find the document containing the survey description, highlight the
file and press 'Open':

Deed-Plotter will display the survey description, press the 'Test'
button to highlight significant elements:

Press the 'Convert Calls' button, Deed-Plotter+ will convert the text
description to a series of 'Calls':

Finally press 'F2' to display an outline of the property:
the tract acreage: 
and the survey's Precision Ratio:

To overlay this lot on a topographic map, use the
NET Deed-Plotter™
'Map: Save as .dxf' option:
and save the file (NET Deed-Plotter automatically places the .dxf in the
same location as the .des deed file and .txt source file.) Start All
Topo Maps, use the 'Find Place' tool to jump to the correct township:
Find
the North East corner of Section 23, drop down to the 1/4 section line
and position the bombsite cursor over the 1/4 section mark:
Press F2 to insert an annotation, then select the 'Deed Plotter' tab,
use the '...' button to browse for the .DXF file: 
This
deed description has a defective beginning to POB measurement, so use
the 'Jog Circle':
to move the survey to the correct position:
Once the survey is positioned correctly, export an appropriate image
to a file, then switch to the 1:100,000 scale map (press the '100'
button) and compose an overview map. Export the overview map and combine
in Word or a drawing program for a site overview and detail map.
